Donor management systems rated

Deciding what donor management system to use can be a daunting task. Even more perilous is the prospect of ditching the old system and going with something new.

Fortunately, there is help out there.

Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN) has some tools to make this selection process easier. Working with Idealware, NTEN has just released a Consumers Guide to Low Cost Donor Management Systems. We have it saved on our server, and you can access it here.

NTEN also has released its 2008 study of donor management systems. As the Consumers Guide points out, the universe of such systems has changed a lot in the last three years, but the 2008 study may be worth a look. Find it here.

NTEN provides a wealth of information, especially for the technology side of nonprofit work. Much of the information is free. It also offers a fee-based membership option.

Idealware specializes in helping nonprofits make smart software decisions.
