Major foundations participate in grant workshop series

Oregon grantmakers will present practical suggestions to those enrolled in a series of grant workshops beginning in January, sponsored by the Greater Jefferson Community Center.

Among the presenters are The Ford Family Foundation, Spirit Mountain Community Fund, The Oregon Community Foundation and Rural Development Initiatives.

Sessions at the Greater Jefferson Community Center are scheduled as follows:

  • Jan. 12: Positioning Your Organization to be Grant Smart (presenter from The Ford Family Foundation)
  • Jan. 26: Project Planning Tools and Practice, Grant Review (presenter from Spirit Mountain Community Fund)
  • Feb. 9: Budgeting and Project Evaluation (presenter from The Oregon Community Foundation)
  • Feb. 16: Project Evaluation and Organizational Site Visits (presenter from Rural Development Initiatives

Each session will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include lunch. The fee for the series is $75 per person. The series is open to staffers and board members of nonprofits in Marion, Polk, Linn and Benton counties.
