Using video to thank donors individually

If an organization like Charity: Water can cut a video to thank an individual donor for raising more than $2,000, why can’t any  organization do it?

Two-year-old Semenesh gave up her second birthday party so donors could support Charity: Water’s effort to buy equipment to drill wells so children in her country can have clean drinking water. The goal was to raise $2,000, and she beat her goal by $100.

Scott Harrison, the founder and CEO of Charity: Water, cut a video message, which the org posted on YouTube. It’s personal and donor-centered.

Social media guru Beth Kanter wrote, “The videos feature staff and you can just feel the love they have for people who share the organization’s passion for its mission of getting clean water to people around the world.”
